Are there membership fees?
There is no membership fee to join this market. If you would like to join, please email us at info@barkingcatfarm.com so we can assist in setting up an account. This market is for wholesale and restaurant buyers only. Please see our website at www.barkingcatfarm.com for information on buying retail quantities from us.
How do I order?
Each Monday evening, a list of available products is sent to all of our registered customers by e-mail. Customers must place their order for the week no later than Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Orders can be placed here on our website.
When do I pay?
We will provide you with an invoice at the time of delivery. We do not accept advance payment on the website. Barking Cat Farm handles the invoicing for Akin Farm and Moon Dance Farm. You will receive one invoice for the whole delivery.
When are deliveries?
We deliver into Dallas on Thursday afternoons between 2-5 PM. Minimum order for delivery is $30. Barking Cat Farm will provide the delivery service for our partner farms. Delivery in the Rockwall local area is also on Thursday afternoons. Please contact us directly at info@barkingcatfarm.com for alternate delivery days or other special arrangements. We’ll work with you to meet your needs.
Why Support Locally Grown?
Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.
Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.
Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.
Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.
We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.
How can I sell through this market?
This market is for Barking Cat Farm and our close partners only. We encourage you to set up your own market if you would like to sell locally. If you would like to become a cooperator with us, please contact us at info@barkingcatfarm.
